Author Biography Suzanne is a retired reading teacher. During the years of teaching reading to students who were not keeping up with their classmates, she realized that there must be something wrong with the way she was teaching these students. After many years analyzing this problem, she came to the conclusion that the problem lay with how the students were first presented with the problem of decoding words. She devised a different way to teach students how to sound out words. In this book, she describes the process that these students need to be taught, provides lists of words for practice and pictures to go along with these lists. She has been successful with students that were labeled as trouble makers, not really trying or just plain lazy.
