This next level includes both fictional and non-fiction stories to keep the interest of elementary children. These phonics readers scaffold phonics skills throughout all the readers to build confidence and also to build new skills. The questions in the back of each reader support comprehension practice. Level 1 focuses on letter sounds and blends and includes 6 individual books: Objects, Animals, The Farm, Red Rods, Picnic and Gran. Level 1 includes 6 color-coded, numbered sight word cards that correspond with the Level 1 books. Level 2 - Level 2 focuses on blends and glued sounds with short vowels (an, am, -all, -ng + double consonants ff, ll, ss + ck), as well as 2-syllable phonetic words. This level includes 6 individual books: Can the Man?, Sam the Ram, The Ducks, In the Pig Pen, The Red Ball, and Tennis. Level 2 includes 18 color-coded, numbered sight word cards that correspond with the Level 2 books. Level 3 - Level 3 focuses on Consonant Digraphs and Beginning Vowel Digraphs (ch, sh, th, ee, oo as in book and oo as in moon).
