Odbitka Fridy

This piece was inspired by Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter who really needs no introduction (you’ve probably seen her and her infamous flowers + brows everywhere already!). In particular, this piece is my cut paper interpretation of her “Self Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird”. Featuring vibrant colours and textured leaves in shades of green, I wanted this piece to feel lush and immersive- as if it was coming off of the page and into your home. DETAILS: Printed on heavy cotton paper with an archival, fine art, giclee printer. This print is based on an original made of hand-cut, hand-made japanese washi paper. Each piece is signed on the back. To reduce waste, each print is made to order. Note: Colours may vary slightly from what is seen on your screen
