This salve may support a healthy histamine response, and assist the skin to recover from rashes! It can also be used as a moisturizer and to protect against winter dryness. We chose herbs for this salve with these objectives in mind; while plantain may impart an antiseptic action on insect bites and may draw out irritants, bee balm and jewelweed may reduce welts, rashes, and itching. Because we do not add aromatic essential oils to our products, this salve only has a gentle, slightly vegetal scent unnoticeable to others within your vicinity. Your natural body heat will melt this oil-based product and allow small amounts to spread easily across the affected area. Please Note: this product is not intended for use in cases of Poison Ivy rashes, as oil based topicals are likely to further spread this rash!
