At Van Morgen, we produce pillows and duvets made of the highest quality of sheep wool, from the Texeler sheep. Texel is an island in The Netherlands, where the climate is perfect to give the best features to the wool, carried by the Texeler sheep. The wool from our sheep contains a high level of lanoline, the substance that makes our product self-cleansing. Because of the lanoline, dust mites don't stand a chance, which makes our duvets and pillows very suitable for people with allergies. Researchers found that sleeping under wool ensures a longer and deeper sleep than sleeping under synthetics and down. The reason for this is the amount of moisture you lose each night (1 liter on average) and how your duvet reacts to it. Wool has the unique ability to absorb 30% of its own weight in moisture.
