TierraMia is ontstaan uit de passie voor traditioneel Mexicaans textiel van de Mexicaanse eigenaar Liliana Hernandez, die momenteel in Nederland woont. In Nederland begon haar droom om Mexicaans textiel te promoten en te verspreiden binnen en buiten Europa. We willen een beetje kunst in handen brengen van veel inheemse volkeren die hun overtuigingen en tradities nog steeds intact houden. Veel hiervan zijn duidelijk in hun textiel, aangezien inheems textiel de boeken zijn die de kolonisten niet konden verbranden.
