Morito Chocolates is ontstaan vanuit het idee om liefde voor chocolade te combineren met waardering voor de cultuur, schoonheid en gemeenschap van de Dominicaanse Republiek. Priscilla Terrero, de oprichter van Morito Chocolates, gebruikte haar huis als inspiratie om haar eigen handgemaakte chocoladebedrijf op te richten. Het begon met een initiatief om iets anders op de markt te brengen; een veganistische, biologische, glutenvrije chocoladestick zonder conserveringsmiddelen, geproduceerd in kleine hoeveelheden. Morito Chocolates is er trots op een vrouwelijk bedrijf te zijn gevestigd in Brooklyn, NY, met als hoofddoel het gebruik van duurzame productie en productie om bruggen te slaan tussen gemeenschappen en een heerlijk product te maken waar iedereen van kan genieten.
