BOAR gin has an extraordinary feature: it is distilled with the extremely rare Black Forest truffle. This triggers a harmonizing effect in the production process and removes bitter substances and spiciness from the gin - making it extremely mild. A total of 19 botanicals are used. After distillation, the gin is allowed to rest for another 3 months before it is reduced to 43% drinking strength and bottled with mineral-rich Black Forest mountain spring water from our own spring. Compared to other gin distillers, BOAR also produces the base alcohol for further processing into gin itself. A very high-quality base alcohol is therefore used. That is certainly also a reason why BOAR GIN has received more than 90 awards worldwide and was once again named “GIN OF THE YEAR” at the ISW International Spirits Competition, for example.
