Gueffus, or, in Italian, 'guelfi', are famous examples of the Sardinian confectionery tradition and are handcrafted by the Corronca biscuit factory. Each guelph is a small almond paste praline characterized by the combination of liqueur and citrus aromas. This is then covered with a light layer of sugar and wrapped in a tissue paper wrapper typically colored with playful and lively colors. Loved for their simple sweetness, offered and consumed both on special occasions and in everyday life, Guelphs are small worlds of Sardinian flavor.
