Description
Birch art tile was sculpted by Tonya. Materials: made in Michigan porcelain and Rick's specially formulated glaze. Using Rick's time tested recipes, we make small batches of glaze. Working small like we do, allows for variations in the glazes, creating one of a kind pieces. All of our tiles are handmade in our Michigan studio. There is a notch on back for hanging, yet if you wish to install, it's also suitable for that too. If used outdoors in freezing temperatures, just make sure to keep it vertical. 3x7” is a nominal size. The actual measurements are 2.75 x 6.75" with raised relief of .5" or less. How’s it made? Sculpt the original design, make plaster mold, press in clay, wait to dry, fire in kiln, glaze, fire again to about 2230 degrees. Cool. Ship to your doorstep. Yay!

We have a flooring store and we recently received our order--I can't love it enough. It's just gorgeous tile and we've already had clients spot the open box and go through the pieces already. We are super excited to have tiles from Whistling Frog Tile Co. on our shelfs. They are a Michigan company which we love! The day our first shipment arrived we posted up a picture of the new collection, our customer reaction was immediate, they LOVE them as much as we do!
