BROGINI- THE OUTDOOR LOOK In 1998 Ginette Brogan began a collaboration with John Whitaker MBE, a British equestrian and Olympian who competes in show jumping. From this Ginette, with a formidable entrepreneurial and equestrian background, noticed a gap in the market for high quality, stylish, practical, and comfortable footwear at affordable prices. Ginette created a brand, which appeals to the lifestyle of Town and Country; the customers range from horse rider, dog walker, hiker, or friends at the Pub. Ginette launched this new brand, Brogini, in 2004 with immediate success. Ginette was ahead of the game. Designer Savannah Miller has since noted, “What was once a barren land for fashion has become quite the catwalk”. Ginette had already won the Shell Live Wire of the Year Award for young people in business, beating more than 3,000 entrants. Her entrepreneurialism was unstoppable. Ginette would scour Italy and other European countries to study production, learning everything she could about style and design, comfort and fit. She listened to her customers, and they loved everything she brought to them. The demand was such that Brogini had to relocate to bigger premises. Ginette is so proud and grateful to her customers. All of this achieved as a single Mum. Her son Gio has loved the journey and is already showing his own entrepreneurial drive.
