I have always been concerned about ordering on Faire from a company outside of the USA. I found several items that fit the needs of a client and decided to try it out. What a disaster!! The packages sat at FedEx for weeks and it was not until I called about 9 days after they arrived to Fedex in Tennessee and Fedex said they were missing details from the shipper about the origin of each product and it was truly about the metal silverware. Vendor seems nice but this process was not nice!!

We do understand your frustration regarding this experience, however this was a one off situation. We very often ship internationally and the experience is usually very smooth. It took Fedex a while to reach out to us and they were requesting information that was clearly stated in the shipping documents. The beverage dispenser nozzle is plastic, cheap and terrible. Paid $67 for each box to UPS!! Excess shipping charges. The serving utensils are nice but still not worth it at all. Contacted the store to let them know they should post that there is additional charges for US shipping and they asked me to clarify and never replied.

We'd like to make customers aware that we’ve seen a few similar cases recently tied to UPS’s new International Collect on Delivery (ICOD) policy. As of June 2, 2025, UPS applies an additional fee at delivery for unpaid duties and taxes. Unfortunately, some customers have refused these deliveries, often because they weren’t fully aware of the charges. To help with this, Faire does surface duty and tax reminders throughout the shopping experience. Additionally, UPS attempts to contact the retailer ahead of delivery to prompt online payment. If the duties aren’t paid in advance, they’re collected at the door—leading to issues if the retailer isn’t prepared. It is also important to be aware that the surprisingly high duties and taxes apply mainly to products produced in China and not other products in our shop.
