About Tierras de Tavara

The story of Tierra de Tavara is a story of passion. The passion of the third generation of a family business to make one of the best extra virgin olive oils in the world in a privileged environment such as the Sierra de Segura in Jaén. The Sierra de Segura is a unique enclave located in Jaén in the Natural Park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas. Its olive trees are interspersed with pine forests between rugged mountains with an average altitude of 900 meters and a slightly higher rainfall than the rest of the province. These characteristics, which represent a great handicap in harvesting, since it cannot be mechanized, give our oils unique and differentiating characteristics, as recognized by the Regulatory Council of the Sierra de Segura Denomination of Origin, and which have been awarded in the main international oil competitions.Read their story
