About Szossari

Originally conceived in 2008 as a whimsical prank of a brand, Szossari (so-sah-ree) became a reality in 2016 when I used my wildflower sketches (drawn during lunch breaks in an empty lot in Jersey City) as the catalyst for a silk scarf design. Encouraged by a friend (and first customer), I opened my shop with two designs and have been keeping the wheels going since. A classically-trained artist and designer, my pieces often start in the analog world as sketches, drawings and paintings. These are then digitized and reconfigured into the finished works: a delicate play of line, color, shape and texture. Designed in New York, and manufactured in the USA and Canada, I’ve teamed up with several low-waste, on-demand, fair trade manufacturers to produce our pieces with a small environmental footprint.
