About Caterisana

CateriSana was born in 2018 on the lonic side of Calabria close to the hilly landscapes of Santa Caterina dello Lonio, in the province of Catanzaro. Our company produces preserves in oil and brine of refined products, fruit jams and marmalades, and Calabrian vegetable compotes. Our main product is the Wild Artichoke which differs from common artichoke for its special wild characteristic, its nutritional properties (high content of fibers and proteins), and its intense taste. The processing of the artichoke is quite complex because the plant is covered with thorns and barely allows the harvest of its fruits. The artichokes are handcrafted and a particular skill is required to remove the spiny leaves. It grows exclusively in untainted areas, especially on the Calabrian Ionian side and the plant is very luxuriant and can reach 2 meters in height. Our cultivation is concentrated 150 meters from the sea, where the plants can absorb all the benefits of Healthy and Brackish Air. We offer our Wild Artichoke in 2 formats: ** With Extra Virgin olive oil in the Format of 200gm ** In Brine in the format of 540gm.
