Sans les plumes® is a French textile brand born during the COVID-19 crisis. It offers high-end products in limited series, strong and sustainable, manufactured in France from upcycled raw materials. Do you know about upcycling? More environmentally friendly than recycling, upcycling allows the recovery of user materials or products in order to transform them into materials or products of superior quality or utility. By definition, upcycling is “recycling from above.” It consists in a total revalorization of the goods and materials that are no longer used, to divert them from their initial use and to reintroduce them into the consumption chain. How does upcycling outweigh recycling? Recycling requires the use of chemicals most of the time to destroy or transform a recoverable material. Overcycling reduces the consumption of natural resources (mainly water and energy). In a virtuous circle, it can also limit transportation and storage for raw-material collection.
