Isopropyl Myristate Isopropyl myristate is a moisturizer with polar characteristics. It uses in cosmetics and topical medical preparations to ameliorate the skin absorption. Also, the myristate has been largely studied and impulsed as a skin penetration enhancer. At the moment the primary usage for which isopropyl myristate is formally indicate is as the active ingredient in a non-prescription pediculicide rinse. Isopropyl myristate is an ester of isopropanol and myristic acid. It also refers to as tetradecanoic acid. A colorless liquid with a faint odor, it is use in many applications. Although it's a good product, I'm a bit bothered by the fact that they apparently have specials on Amazon where the consumer can purchase the product at the same wholesale cost I paid for it. Therefore if I mark up my cost to the MSRP they suggest, & I'm being transparent with my customers of what the brand it is that I sell, they can then go on Amazon & get this for half the cost that I sell it for. Makes no sense. They are slow to respond & seem to have no care for my concern. Won't buy again.
