We must protest because you almost feel sorry for their predicament when you consider that they are in a completely unfamiliar environment far away from their natural habitat: flying instead of swimming, clouds instead of waves, air instead of water. We do not know whether they have become apathetic out of sheer despair, or simply stoically put their hands in their laps and follow what is happening - their facial expressions do not provide any information about their emotional world. But one thing is certain: should these stately gentlemen not like staying at that dizzying altitude, they would certainly have jumped into the sea below them... and therefore we assume that this is not a dangerous situation, but rather a normal trip among colleagues.
