This rice was formerly called “venerated rice” or “forbidden rice” in Asia because it was very rare and very loaded with good nutrients. It now grows in Camargue and still has as many very good properties, its black/brown shell allows it to preserve all its nutritional qualities. True brown rice, it surprises with its firm and atypical taste after cooking. After cooking and once on the plate, it is completely distinguished by its unusual color. Its packaging, specially dedicated to our delicatessen shops for our Gourmet/Delicatessen range, was designed by the painter from Nîmes, Mr. Michel Tombereau.
