DOUBLE-LIE is a 10-year-old cognac distilled with the double Lie usually contained in Chauffe wine. This cognac contains 200 mg/L of esters. That is three times more than the rate obtained with conventional lie distillation. It is the Maillard reaction between the goose and the copper in the still during the cooking of the wine that allows this exceptional extraction of esters. This unique technique gives DOUBLE-LIE an incomparable aromatic intensity.
