About L'atelier du sel - Morel & Le Chantoux

We are two cousins, Hugues and Matthieu, Independent Salt Producers-Harvesters. Established on the salt marshes of Guérande, our salt pans are located in the commune of Assérac, and our workshop is situated in St-Molf. A delicate product of the ocean, sun, wind, and the ancestral know-how of the salt workers, the Salt and Fleur de Sel of Guérande that we offer are hand-harvested. Our Fleur de Sel is delicately gathered from the water's surface, and our Coarse Salt is neither washed nor treated and drains naturally on our salt pans. As Independent Salt Workers, we pay particular attention to the quality of our products, which undergo no mechanization to preserve the structure and taste of natural salt.Read their story
