About Hello Fred

I am Federica and Fred is my alter ego: a large giraffe with blue spots that sees a colorful world and observes it from a different perspective (certainly, a higher one). I have worked as an art director and graphic designer. I have always been passionate about illustration, craftsmanship, crafting, and unique things. At some point, giraffes really started to intrigue me. I observed them a bit more, drawing them more and more, letting myself be transported into a new world. How is an Hello Fred born? It all starts with an image. And inspiration comes from every experience. Then I do a lot of research and just as many tests: a sketch becomes a draft, which then becomes a pattern and finally takes shape (not always perfect, precisely because it is handmade) thanks to the artisans who collaborate with Hello Fred. A rug, a tote bag, a tablecloth: when you buy an Hello Fred, you support a world made of colors and craftsmanship, creativity and artisanal skill.
