For nearly 30 years, we have been working for local development and the promotion of fair, respectful, and responsible organic farming in Togo. Drawing on our experience with pineapples, we have chosen to enhance and promote the production of cashew nuts in Togo, which were previously sold mainly raw to foreign processors. Small producers are organized into cooperative groups and trained to better value their harvests, which we pre-finance and purchase at a price higher than the market rate. Then, we shell, dry, and package them locally in our workshop in Togo to provide local employment and limit rural exodus.
