Because we know that the more complicated a product is to maintain, the less we want to use it, the teapots have been designed to be dishwasher safe. Only the lid is not dishwasher safe and needs to be cleaned with a clean damp cloth. For the lid, we chose to add a natural touch with acacia wood lined with stainless steel. These are great items - stylish and functional. And the packaging is attractive! An excellent addition to the sales floor. Shipping costs from France are pretty high, so we have to roll that into the price. If we could offer them for less (lower shipping costs) we'd gladly order more and feature more of this great line.
