About Studio Khira

Kiran Connolly is a jewellery designer and maker based in Dublin, Ireland. She created her brand Studio Khira in 2023, after becoming interested in jewellery design and finding a new love in jewellery making. Originally from Singapore, she creates beautiful original jewellery pieces predominantly made of polymer clay, but also uses other materials such as glass & semi precious stone beads, and recycled materials such as fabric cut offs and remnants. Her Asian heritage is also very important to her; it influences some of her pieces in the form of traditional prints and pattern, such Indonesian batik, East Asian florals, and Indian woodblock. Kiran’s heritage isn’t the only influence on her work - she also finds inspiration in nature, in art such as Impressionist painting or ceramic Jasper ware, and in fashion history. The collections Kiran makes are a celebration of colour too. Bright and bold colour mixes and colour clashes, to make a statement with is a mainstay seen in every collection.
