A few years ago my little 13 year old Yorkie, Coco, suffered from an unforeseen stroke. At 5lbs & being of senior status we were unsure of the outcome and well, as his human I was devastated to say the least. Coco not only looks like a puppy, but he also acts like a puppy which was the norm prior to his stroke. Coco couldn’t hold his head up, walk, let alone move and wouldn’t eat as a result. After a nightmare of vet visits, lab tests & phone calls I decided to begin cooking Coco’s food to coax him to eat. He has always eaten dry kibble from some of the top brands, but even those made him sick often throughout the years. With my background in the sciences, I took my expertise & knowledge to begin formulating healthy food for my little guy. The information given to pet owners is horrifying & once I discovered kibble & wet food are the leading cause of pet disease & death I knew a drastic change was in order! If our human food doesn’t last 5+ days, why would you want to give your dog food that does? We were all unsure how Coco would recover, but let me tell you, he made a remarkable recovery, 100%! Coco runs, jumps, and acts as though the stroke never occurred. His health has never been better! I carefully pick and choose proteins, oils & carbs, plus essential vitamins, minerals, and herb blends to create an organic yet fresh & balanced diet. I now want to share my knowledge to spread awareness to all pet parents so they too can increase longevity of their fur baby!Read their story
