L'ÉTÉ INDIEN BY AC is a new clothing brand created from recycled “vintage” silk saris. INDIAN SUMMER BY AC is firmly based on a responsible fashion and “upcycling” approach, the two foundations of the brand and its DNA. Each piece is carved from a traditional antique sari (1.2 m high and 5 to 6 m wide). All models are therefore unique and reflect a story. Each piece of clothing thus brings back to life a noble piece, the very principle of “upcycling” The entire range (dresses, skirts, stoles, waistcoats, scarves) is assembled in a small artisan workshop in New Delhi, the repository of ancestral know-how in saris and silk work. As part of a virtuous approach, the brand donates, for each sale, a percentage to the VCDSTN association, whose mission is to help Indian women become independent and educated.
