Inspired by generations of Italian immigrants that settled in the Federal Hill section of Providence, Rhode Island during the 1800’s, this sauce has been carefully prepared to be as close to the “old country” recipe as possible. This is a simple yet delicious sauce that is prepared using a unique blend of fresh plum tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh basil, and other herbs and spices. It can be used with various Italian dishes including fish, pork, and veal, but primarily in pasta dishes.
