Named after one of the artisans who crafted this collection on a traditional Indian handloom, the Kamla patterned cushion cover makes a statement with its binga-basket inspired pattern, chunky texture and circular shape. ~ Social & environmental kindness~ Skilfully created by female artisans using age-old techniques under fair trade conditions, this collection targeted Sustainable Development Goal no. 5 (Achieve Gender Equality & Empower All Women) by specifically partnering with women artisans on this project. Jute is a natural, biodegradable and recyclable fibre, and unlike cotton, requires no pesticides or chemicals. We also replaced the most commonly used cotton canvas backing (a non-sustainable option unless organic) with fabric made from recycled plastic bottles.
