Description
Handmade ceramic plate with a smooth cream glaze. This is larger than my standard plate and is more suitable for a dinner plate Dimensions Approximately 26cm wide Care Ceramics are fired to 1260 degrees and therefore are suitable to be microwaved or washed in a dishwasher. How it is made All ceramics is handmade in my pottery studio in South Fawley, Berkshire. The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and if carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in my kiln. I then mix my glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns. The ceramics is then fired again to 1260 degrees Celsius.

I didn’t think the quality of the work would garner the suggested MSRP listed. I know handmade items vary in details, but I couldn’t even stack the plates well because they varied in size. There were also bubbling and noticeable dents in the finish. Some pieces that were glazed had no shine and the colors weren’t consistent with each piece. You could see unfinished areas. I was highly disappointed since the order went past filfillment time and I had the hassle of returning the products.
