This Moroccan Black Soap/Sabon Beldi is made from black olives in combination with olive oil and is made in Morocco. The combination of the olives and the oil has a healing and caring effect for (damaged) skin. The nourishing olive oil helps to prevent dry skin and reduces wrinkles, eczema and even psoriasis. The soap is packed with vitamins A and E which both helps against dry skin, keeps the oil that your skin produces in balance and makes the skin look healthier. Origin of the soap Our traditional Moroccan black soap is made, in Morocco, from sun-ripened black olives. This soap, also called Sabon Beldi, is widely used in Morocco, especially in bathhouses. This black olive soap has a neutral to earthy scent and is thickly liquid, paste-like. By the way, the soap is not completely black but rather a bit dark green. Recommended use on skin: You can use the soap daily for both skin & hair. Take a little soap between the palms while you're in the shower. Attention! The soap gives very little foam so that can take some getting used to. This soap (other than the African Black soap) can be applied directly to the skin. Leave the soap on for 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse off. After using this soap, remember to moisturize the skin well again with our Shea Butter or Argan Oil if you prefer an oil. Recommended use in hair: Moroccan soap is also suitable for use in the hair. You can use black soap as a substitute for regular shampoo. Take a small amount of this natural soap and mix it with water. Then massage into hair and scalp. Leave on for five minutes and rinse thoroughly.
