Benzyl Alcohol Benzyl Alcohol is found to occur naturally in many fruits and teas and is also a component in jasmine, ylang ylang and hyacinth essential oils. It acts as a preservative ingredient that prevents microbial and bacterial contamination of products. Benzyl Alcohol is globally recognised as a safe and effective preservative for personal care products and it can also be used as a flavouring agent and fragrance ingredient.
