Description
Description A creamy, elegant matcha with a soft floral aroma and long, umami-rich finish. Our Premium Ceremonial Organic Matcha (Saemidori Cultivar) is a single cultivar matcha from Yame, crafted exclusively from the late May 2025 first harvest. Known for its vibrant green colour, refined sweetness, and remarkably low bitterness, it offers a smooth, full-bodied experience that lingers with depth and clarity. This year’s harvest delivered exceptional quality, yielding an even richer umami profile, brighter colour, and a cleaner, more elegant finish than previous years. * Rich and Creamy Flavour: Enjoy a lush, umami-heavy cup with elegant sweetness and a long, satisfying finish – ideal for those who prefer a smooth, gentle matcha with minimal astringency. * Vibrant Green Colour: Shade-grown to develop a vivid green hue, reflecting high chlorophyll content and exceptional quality. * Luxuriously Smooth Texture: Expertly stone-milled to achieve a silky-smooth texture and a frothy finish. * Ideal for: High-end ceremonial use, daily matcha rituals, or indulgent, creamy matcha lattes. Organic, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, GMO-Free, Sugar-Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian. This is certified organic matcha, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. Saemidori vs Other Cultivars * Sweeter Profile: Compared to Tsuyuhikari, Seimei, Okumidori, and Kanayamidori, Saemidori has a richer and sweeter flavour with less bitterness, ideal for those who prefer a more indulgent matcha. * More Creamy: Unlike most of other cultivars, Saemidori stands out for its rich, creamy texture and pronounced sweetness. That said, proper whisking is essential for achieving a creamy froth. * Umami Richness: Saemidori features a high umami taste, more pronounced than Tsuyuhikari and Seimei. Okumidori also has a balanced umami, but Saemidori’s umami is slightly more pronounced. Compared to Kanayamidori, Saemidori's umami is smoother and less intense, providing a fuller-bodied and more savoury matcha experience. Note: This comparison is based on general perceptions and can vary depending on individual taste preferences. More Details * Exclusive Harvest: Directly sourced from the top-notch boutique farms. * Expertly Grown: Shade-grown for vibrant colour and rich flavour.
