Submarine blueprint decor. This design features the internal workings of 'Bushnell's Turtle', the world's first submarine. The artwork is created using a combination of 3mm composite wood and a printed background. A raised tag mounted underneath the blueprint features the submarine's name and the year it was built, 1775. The Turtle (also called American Turtle) was the world's first submersible vessel with a documented record of use in combat. It was built by American David Bushnell as a means of attaching explosive charges to moored ships in a harbor. Please note that this artwork does not come with the frame.
