Description
Italian sieved tomatoes with a rich texture and a bright red colour. It is ideal for all recipes requiring a short time of preparation and to add flavour to dishes. Coppola Passata is made with selected round tomatoes varieties, grown in sunny and fertile Central and Southern Italy. These tomatoes are at their full ripening between the summer months of August and September when they are harvested, attentively sorted, sieved, and cooked with a pinch of salt at low temperature into a smooth sauce with rich texture and bright red colour. Coppola Passata is made from fresh tomatoes, no concentrate, and no puree. It is made with no sugar, no sweeteners added, and it is free from artificial flavours, thickeners, or firming agents. Packed in glass bottle and tin lid. : The Italian word passata means "passed through" as people used to make this smooth sauce by passing through a sieve peeled plum tomatoes.

What a disaster. First I tried to cancel the order after waiting several days for them to respond. They said that wouldn't be possible as it was already processed and waiting to be shipped. When my order finally got delivered (by Amazon Logistics) my order was damaged with several items (in glass jars) broken inside and several items missing. Only two-thirds of my order showed up. I had to wait a couple of days for the rest to arrive and when it did some more items were missing.
