Our 100% organic nesting material made from sustainable wood wool is excellent for padding wildlife houses and for thermal insulation! Therefore, padding wood wool is also perfect for animals that hibernate in Germany – hedgehogs, squirrels, garden birds, ladybugs, etc. The natural nesting material comes directly from Germany and is environmentally friendly, made from remnants and fragments of the wood industry. Wildlife such as squirrels, birds, and hedgehogs can use it to pad their nests or sleeping places. The nesting material is also suitable in small quantities for our ladybug house and butterfly house! The advantage over regular wool or plant-based kapok wool is the coarser texture, which prevents small insects like ladybugs from getting lost or tangled. Only certified wood is used for our Erdenfreund® wood wool.
