Pakistani pine nuts are the fruit of Pinus Gerardiana, a pine tree typical of northern Pakistan, eastern Afghanistan and northern India. They have a strong flavor and are characterized by a strong scent and a color tending to ochre yellow. Pakistanis also have an elongated and tapered shape, and appear oily to the touch.
