Biokikko Lemon Granules are obtained from fruits grown exclusively in our citrus groves in Eastern Tyrrhenian Sicily. They are produced by low-temperature drying of the outermost part of the peel (flavedo), which is rich in aromatic essential oils. Although its use in sweet and savory preparations is limited only by imagination, the granules are fantastic for marinating meat and fish roasts, as well as being added to breaded and fried dishes. Harvested from fresh fruits, the peels are first subjected to ventilated drying at a low temperature (35 °C +/- 2°C) within 24 hours of harvest, then crushed and packaged in an elegant glass jar with a dispenser.
