The "Cara Verde" Black-eyed Pea is an endogenous product, exclusively produced in our region. It is in the sandy soils of the Vale de Alfaia farm that we find, during the summer, the cultivation of this variety of Black-eyed Pea, which is then harvested in September and October. It is a versatile food that can have various uses in cooking, from making soups and main dishes to desserts... all it takes is imagination.
