The Splat Rug is hand-tufted in India in 100% New Zealand wool with a cotton backing. Simply shake it out gently to loosen up the fibres. Allow the rug to lay flat for 24 hours to completely flatten. During the initial two weeks, expect some light natural shedding, which is typical for wool rugs. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and damage. Harsh chemicals, bleach, and strong cleaning agents can damage the fibres of the rug. Address any spills immediately by blotting with a damp cloth or paper towel. New Zealand Wool is naturally self-cleaning. For regular maintenance, vacuum the rug on a high pile setting. In case of spills, promptly blot the affected area with a damp cloth.
