Part of an abstract series of designs inspired by wild stinging nettles. Krapiva (or stinting nettle) brings memories of painful stings and rashes acquired while adventuring outside as an adolescent. As adults, we learn that everything has beauty in its purpose, even the stinging nettle with its iconic spiky leaves. We appreciate it through a new lens. Each print is cut, sewn, and screen printed by hand with water-based inks on 100% cotton. The prints are ready to hang with two loops in the top corners – no framing or extra materials required, but they will also fit nicely in a standard size frames. Each print is carefully rolled and packed into an individual 3x3 box tube.
