This building, unique in its kind on the Ile-de-France, is probably dated from the 16th century. Detectable by its corbelled corner turrets, it presents a rich decoration from the Renaissance period. Its first known owner was Etienne Buffechou, seneschal and judge of the seigneuries of Ars and Loix. It is in his memory that the name of the house of the Sénéchal was given to the building.
