These food safe clay pieces are a beautiful addition to a home, perfect for hot and cold beverages. Barro negro is a type of pottery only found in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca and crafted using traditional methods. The black color comes from the clay itself, enhanced during the firing process with no glaze used. We recommend washing the mug several times before use, this is to remove any mineral build up from firing this natural clay.
