Description
Sweet and zesty, marjoram has the fame of being one the herbs that best maintain its full flavor and aroma after drying. Our marjoram arrives in small quantities from organic farms in Crete and Central Greece. Harvested by hand and dried naturally, it is 100% handmade. A sweet cousin of oregano, marjoram has a legendary culinary heritage. Shakespeare has even immortalized it as "the herb of Grace." Given to the people by the goddess Aphrodite, marjoram's delicious-smelling leaves will add zesty and refreshing flavor to your pork recipes, soups, stuffings, and legumes. You can use it as a topping for hummus or toss it through a beetroot salad. It serves as an excellent seasoning for veggie roasts. In the local cuisine of the Ionian islands, marjoram is an essential ingredient for lentil soup. Some also prefer to enjoy it the most as a herbal tea: Infuse 1 teaspoon at 95°C for 5 minutes, covered. Steep and serve.

This might be the best oregano I’ve ever tried. Apart from the fact it’s so beautifully bunched and wrapped, once you open it, it floods the room in its earthy aroma. Just gorgeous!
