It comes from the flower sap of the Tnoth palm tree or Kampong Speu sugar palm. The Tnoth palm is a symbol of Cambodia and Khmer culture. The sap is harvested manually in an artisanal way, without cutting the flower. The harvester climbs up the tree and makes small incisions on the flowers. The sap is heated to obtain a syrup which is then transformed into sugar. The latter has a low glycemic index. It will enhance your dishes, desserts and drinks by giving them an exotic touch. It is a product from organic farming, certified by Ecocert. Sugar consumption per day per person is limited to 50 g.
