Hülya, illustrator and painter of watercolor portraits, was born in Istanbul in 1972. In her work, we see that women are becoming increasingly confident; restoring their human identity. Although she focuses on predominantly female portraits, she does not limit her drawings. What guides her is the understanding that a woman is a person still struggling to exist in a male-dominated society, trapped in a role based on maintaining society's norms: tradition, morality, and family triangles, considered an asset whose desires, vulnerabilities, and concerns often don't reflect her feelings. Together with MondiArt, a number of works of art were executed in velvet. This series is deep in color, cuddly and has an acoustic effect.
