The Filesi family cultivates the Tonda Gentile Romana hazelnut, an indigenous variety of Tuscia, in Vasanello following organic guidelines. This variety is the most widespread on the hilly areas of Lazio, especially concentrated in the Monti Cimini area in the province of Viterbo. The fruit is large and round with light-colored flesh and an intense aroma. Once harvested, the hazelnuts are cleaned and sorted in company facilities equipped with drying, roasting, and packaging lines in modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) or vacuum-sealed. The hazelnuts are shelled and lightly roasted to enhance the aroma and crunchiness of the Tonda Gentile Romana hazelnut. Available in 250 g (100% recyclable paper MAP packaging), 500 g (vacuum-sealed), 1 kg (vacuum-sealed), and 5 kg (vacuum-sealed) formats.
