Polypropylene is a plastic fiber invented by Giulio Natta, which in 1963 also earned him recognition as a Nobel Prize. This component, with a very light structure, has multiple uses and, although it may be a synthetic fiber, it pollutes less than some natural fibers. This fiber has multiple uses besides textiles, and is intended for various applications: from packaging to components for cars, from technical textiles to accessories for fashion products. Many believe that only natural fibers - as they are produced by nature - are green, but to evaluate the sustainability of a material, it is necessary to evaluate many aspects and retrace its entire life cycle. In fact, for example, intensive cotton cultivation can cause drought and the excessive use of pesticides heavily pollutes the environment.
