Wholesale Zellij Cushion Cover

These decorative cushions are inspired by ancient Zellij tile motifs. The roots of this pattern are ancient but Niki’s design approach and brilliant use of colour brings the modernity allowing these designs to sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The pattern is intricately hand stitched using a crewel embroidery technique. The linen surface is covered in wool hand crewel embroidery which is carried onto the reverse of the cushion adding special detail. This hand stitching method follows the contour of the design and emphasises the shape of the motif in chain stitch, creating a raised textural quality. The cushion is edged in a contrasting colour, creating a contemporary element.
