i recently took the photos that make up this collage at the hospital while i was visiting someone, really hoping that they wouldn't die. they didn't, thank fck, but it brought up a lot of trauma from around 2011 or so when my dad was hit by a car and i spent a lot of time in that same hospital with my film camera, trying to distract myself from (and capture) the grief and the fear. the number 23 pops up in a lot of my work. it's an important number to me. it's shown up in so many odd places in my life, it would feel.. almost too personal to list them. at any rate, i'm excited about this design. i don't know if anyone else will like it— it's sort of a jumbled mass of seemingly random components from the outside, i guess. but it feels cathartic to me to be able to create something out of a jumbled mass of sorrow and grief and guilt. hand printed with silver ink black gildan brand unisex softstyle tshirts sizes: small, medium, large, extra large, 2xl, 3xl.
